Caimin Jones

Caimin Jones is a graduate of University College Dublin, a Chartered Civil Engineer, a Registered Consulting Engineer, a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers of Ireland and European Engineer. He is a Director of Garland and Shannon International Development Consultants. An experienced project co-ordinator, project director and team leader he has over 40 years’ experience as a design engineer, project engineer, resident engineer and partner in charge on the planning, design, procurement, cost control and implementation of civil and structural engineering projects throughout Ireland and abroad.

He has also been responsible for the planning, design and supervision of construction of industrial technology and business parks, free zones, industrial, institutional and office Buildings, and airport related projects for both Garland Ormond International & Thomas Garland & Partners. He is also experienced in dealing with international agencies including the European Commission, the World Bank, the European Investment Bank, UNIDO and UNCTAD. He has worked closely with Shannon Development in the development industrial/ business parks in the Shannon free zone and wider Shannon Region for over 40 years. He has extensive overseas experience in Palestine, Gambia, Ghana, Mauritius, Uganda, Tanzania, Jamaica, Western Samoa, Guyana, Papua New Guinea, Russian Federation, Slovenia, Albania, Bosnia, Yemen and Haiti.
